Dr. Raymond Deters III graduated Magna Cum Laude from the prestigious Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1989. He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Clinical Acupuncture. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California at San Diego. He has received extensive post graduate training in treating auto accident victims, and he knows how to help them recover quickly. Dr. Deters is constantly attending continuing education seminars and researching the latest most effective ways to help his patients get out of pain quickly, have more energy, feel better, lose weight, and enjoy a higher quality of life.
Dr. Deters has been in practice in Mission Valley for 24 years. During that time he has helped thousands of San Diego County patients and out of state patients that many other medical doctors, acupuncturists, and physical therapists had given up on. He is an expert in nutritional therapy and weight loss, and he is the exlusive provider of UltraSlim Weight Loss Technology for San Diego County.
Dr. Deters treats many athletes to not only help them recover from sports injuries quicker, but also to help them improve their overall athletic performance. With his many years practicing Chinese martial arts, Dr. Deters understands the nature of sports injuries and how important it is to be able to return to competition as quickly as possible, and to always be in the best physical condition possible. He shares this passion for excellent performance to help all of his patients, from the weekend warrior to the stay at home parent whose sole form of exercise is doing housework.
Over the years, Dr. Deters has shared his passion for health and knowledge about healing by giving hundreds of seminars and workshops to local businesses, schools, and civic groups on many health related topics.
In his spare time, Dr. Deters enjoys hiking, martial arts, gardening, bodysurfing, and studying Chinese.
